Students will be expected to conduct research on the social issue they are addressing and learn about the various perspectives and solutions that have been proposed. This will help them develop critical thinking skills and the ability to evaluate different viewpoints.
2. Critical Thinking
Students will be challenged to think critically about the social issue they are addressing and come up with creative solutions for addressing it in their community. This will help them develop problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
3. Service
Students will be required to complete a term of community service related to their chosen social issue. This will give them hands-on experience and the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the community.
4. Writing
Students will be required to write a reflective essay about their experience with the project and how it has impacted them personally. This will help them develop strong writing skills and the ability to express themselves in writing.
5. Presentation
Students will have the opportunity to present their project and the social issue they are addressing. This will help them develop public speaking skills and confidence in their ability to share their ideas with others.
6. Character
Students will be asked to reflect on the character traits that they have developed or strengthened as a result of their involvement in the project. This will help them understand the role that character plays in making a positive impact in the world.
